increase the possible zoom level

Working on small details it is difficult to see if the curves fit. Increase the possible zoom level. Also add a choice of color for the curves to make them easier to recognize.

make the update check optional and not manditory.

You should make the automatic update check on startup to be optional. Not everyone has rights to access external domans from the LAN they are on and attempts to do so could result in disciplinary actions against the logged in user. Others may...
